Willowgate trout fishery- Fast action during a busy morning

Willowgate trout fishery- Lots of trout were caught this morning on a variety of methods, with buzzers and blobs under bungs scoring the highest in the blustery conditions. Other successful patterns were cdc's and black spiders. There were fish getting caught all over the loch as the trout came on the feed.

Black cdc shuttlecock size 14. Best fished on a very long leader (18-20ft) cast to rising fish and left static. Best to carry plenty of these in your box as they don't fish so well once they have had a coating of fish slime.

Willowgate trout fishery- Fishing well in more unsettled weather

Willowgate trout fishery- The loch fished very well today with most anglers weighing in with between 4 and 6 fish. Black lures such as Humungus and black cats worked well. Also small flies such as dawl bachs. Evening sessions are proving very popular with trout rising more freely once the sun starts to dip.
